About Us About GoFish ProductionsChristian Living was formed in 2004 to showcase Christian businesses, individuals, and para-church ministries in United States and beyond. Former developer John Griffin heard the distinct call from God to leave his industry and delve wholeheartedly into magazine publishing, so he created the concept for a "Guideposts meets Charisma" inspirational format that would educate and connect Christians to other like-minded believers in various businesses and ministries all over the world. DistributionQuickly gathering a great team of writers, photographers, layout designers, and sales people, John launched the magazine in November of 2004 and distributed it to roughly 50,000 people in hundreds of evangelical and charismatic churches - primarily in Metro Atlanta. Currently the company is expanding its distribution and subscription base to reach their goal of 1,100,000 readers by the end of 2007. FundingThe magazine is funded through the advertisements of Christian businesses. Some clients choose an "advertise only" model, whereas others include their (one-to-four-page) stories, written by various Christian Living writers, which testify to the hand of God moving in their business or ministry. The magazine is also funded by the support of loving Christian brother's and sisters that donate to our tax deductible 501c3 - ACTS 1:8 Inc. The money donated goes directly to support the ministry articles that are placed in Christian Living Magazine. You can be a part of helping us tell the world about thousands of ministries that are doing God's work. ValuesOne of the primary values of Christian Living is to replicate the strong, word-of-mouth network that the Jewish community enjoys, creating a venue by which business owners and faith-based organizations can make themselves and their works known to believers in the area. One of the most effective avenues for reaching others and crossing denominational boundaries is through the telling of inspirational stories that focus not on the specifics of various theologies that might divide, but rather on the broad, biblical truths common to all Christian believers. Statement of FaithEach advertiser in Christian Living must sign a statement of faith that says, "I have received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and my aspiration is to live my life for his grandeur. I have been born again according to John 3:3 which states, 'Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' I promise to embrace the utmost biblical code of business ethics in my business transactions. Furthermore, I will serve my clients with a paramount of admiration, honesty, integrity and respect." FutureThe company hopes to increase circulation to one million readers within the next two years, expanding into thousands of varied churches. As the magazine continues in growth and popularity, Mr. Griffin hopes to develop the concept throughout Georgia and all over the world. PublisherChristian Living Magazine's publisher is John Griffin III, son of a former character actor in many Disney and western Hollywood movies. With a background in business, sales, and commercial land development, John is thoroughly enjoying his foray into the new territory of magazine publishing. He and his wife, Angela - a real estate broker and president of 1st Christian Realty, have a vision for unabashedly bringing the liberating truths of biblical wisdom into the marketplace, and seeing the unity of the Body of Christ. |
